NOTE: These lists are provided simply as a reference for people who already have Dr. Adamo’s book and are not intended as a substitute for it. An understanding of why the beneficial foods are beneficial and the harmful foods are harmful is essential to an intelligent use of the lists, and this understanding can be acquired only through reading the book.

The book is also required for other important data, such as useful portion sizes, etc. It 0is important to realize, too, that neither these lists nor Dr. Adamo’s book itself should be considered a substitute for professional medical care.
