What is Colostrum?

Colostrum is the pre-milk fluid produced by the mother’s mammary gland 24-48 hours after birth. It provides the life-supporting growth factors that insure health and vitality.

Uses of Colostrum:

Ø        Anti-aging:  It works naturally to replace the body’s own growth factors and stimulate the endocrine system to keep producing these vital, revitalizing hormones.

Ø        Immune System: It has the ability to protect from infection and provide passive immunity to E.Coli and Rotavirus (the leading intestinal killers).  Also, its immune factors (immunoglobins, etc) greatly strengthen our natural defenses to virtually all disease causing factors. . Next, Colostrum contains lactoferrin, which research has shown to be a potent, natural, broad-spectrum antibiotic and anti-viral agent, including HIV 1, Staphylococcus Aureus (named due to it’s resistance to vancomycin), Salmonella, Influenza and Ebola.

Ø        Cardiovascular: Research has shown that bacteria called, “Chlamydia Pneumoniae” is the major cause of Atherosclerosis (clogging of the arteries). The anti-biotic qualities of Colostrum can overcome these bacteria.

Ø        Candida: It promotes the re-growth and re-colonization of friendly bacteria and its growth factors help repair the mucous-covered lining of the bowel to restore it to optimum immune function.

Ø        Anti-inflammatory: PRP (Proline-rich Polypeptide) inhibits over-production of T- attachment cells and lymphocytes, relieving pain and swelling.

Ø        Montezuma’s Revenge  (Travelers Disease) Colostrum inhibits the attaching of the bacteria to the intestinal wall, as well as destroys the bacteria.

Ø        Weightloss: Colostrum helps burn fat and build muscle.  The growth factors in Colostrum speed protein synthesis and slow protein catabolism (protein breakdown), leading to an increase in lean muscle mass.

Ø        Athletics: Improves performance by enhancing assimilation of nutrients through the intestines and so increasing the efficiency of carbohydrate and amino acid uptake. The growth factors also “seal” the gut from ulceration, enabling better utilization of food for fuel.

Colostrum contains growth factors (IgF) which aids in the repair and growth of cells, Transforming growth Factors (TgF) alpha and beta, which aids in the synthesis and repair of RNA and DNA, as well as muscle repair in athletes; Epithelial Growth Factor (EgF) which aids in skin growth.

Research has also shown that these growth factors benefit tissue repair, balance blood sugar and brain chemicals, repair RNA and DNA, and boost the body’s ability to metabolize fat and build lean muscle tissue.
