IGF-1 The Most Powerful Anti-Aging Hormone

Deer Antler Velvet   Stock # 966-1

Presentation by Alex Duarte, O.D., Ph.D.

The use of deer antler velvet goes back over 10,000 years in Chinese and Korean cultures. The first written record dates back to 206 B.C. to A.D. 200.

Chinese doctors claim that antler velvet brings power and strength to the kidneys, improves lung function and helps the body to process energy quickly and efficiently while strengthening the organs of endurance. Traditional Chinese medicine claims that it has a positive effect on male impotence and general sexual debility, prostatic problems and incontinence. Women have fewer menstrual disorders, better sex drive, higher fertility, better weight loss and more healthy childbearing and nursing.

Thanks to the work of many researchers, we now know that deer antler velvet contains:

·      Eight known growth factors, including IGF-1 (insulin like growth factor 1), IGF-2 (insulin like growth factor 2), TGF beta (transforming growth factor beta), erythropoietin (red blood cell growth stimulant), neurotrophin (nerve growth factor), bone morphogenic protein, epidermal growth factor, luteinizing hormone stimulant (increases testosterone), and fibroblast growth factor 8.

·      Anti-inflammatory prostaglandins, an anti-inflammatory protein (newly discovered).

·        Nerve protective fatty acids (sphingomyelin and phospholipids).

·        Prohormones and sterols.

·        Amino acids.

·        Cartilage components.

·        Glucosamine – cartilage growth, maintenance and repair stimulant (polymeric N-acetyl-D-glucosamine- proven wound healing stimulant).

·        Chondroitin Sulfate A 9CSA)-shown to improve circulation, reduce the blood’s clotting tendencies, decrease the risk of stroke and improve cardiovascular health.

·        Collagen type I.

·        Collagen type II-shown to reduce the immune attack on joint cartilage in the rheumatoid version of joint degeneration.

·        Minerals.

Possible health benefits:

¨      Heart benefits-antler components improve heart strength and volume of blood pumped through the heart.

¨      Improves endurance-consistently shown to improve stamina and work capacity in animal and human studies.

¨      Improves joint health.

¨      Improves muscle and strength development and athletic performance.

¨      Improves mood and longevity-inhibits monoaminoxidase (MAO) activity (associated with an increased availability of neurotransmitters in the brain resulting in enhanced mood). This has also been shown to extend life span in laboratory animals.

¨      Improves kidney and liver function.

¨      Repairs DNA in every cell.

¨      Improves immunity.

¨      Improves red and white blood cell production.

¨      Improves sexual potency and fertility.

¨      Improves blood pressure in hypertensives.

¨      Improves recovery from illness or surgery.

¨      Is nontoxic.

Low levels of IFG-1 are related to muscle waste, including the heart muscle.

The Invermay Research Center in Otago, New Zealand, working with the Universities of Canterbury and Otago, has found that the use of deer antler velvet improves cell growth and that antler velvet demonstrates anti-tumor and antiviral properties. According to Dr. Duarte, when IGF-1 came in contact with a Leukemia cell, the leukemia cell died instantly.

In a recent human clinical study conducted in the year 2000, Jeffry L. Anderson, M.D., demonstrated that taking three sprays of the liquid deer antler velvet twice daily elevated the IGF-1 by 12.9% within 28 days. Recent IGF-1 studies show a definitive improvement in heart function and normalization in blood pressure.

A Japanese animal research study published in 1988 found increased liver function after administering antler velvet. The Japanese research further found that deer antler velvet inhibits an enzyme called MAO-B that increases with age and is linked to several aging diseases,” such as hardening of the arteries, senility, depression and arthritis.

A 1974 study in Russia realized dramatically improved performance by athletes who were given deer antler velvet on an exercise cycle.     Unadministered athletes on the cycle performed 15kg/m dynamic work, whereas those given the antler velvet increased their work to 74kg/m.  Russian scientist Dr. Tancyvia produced research in 1964 claming that administration of deer antler velvet improved the scores of young men on a mathematical test.

We know of individuals whose testimonies agree that taking deer antler velvet has resulted in dramatic improvement in a variety of diseases, including multiple sclerosis, chronic eczema, varicose veins and gout, pain and inflammation of arthritis, joint pain, back problems and muscle fatigue or weakness. Oriental medicine uses it to control blood pressure, increase hemoglobin in the blood, improve muscle tone and glandular functions, and heal stomach ulcers, enlarged prostate and menstrual disorders. It is frequently used in Russia for post-operative patient recovery.

Nature’s Sunshine IFG-1 deer antler velvet product is unique because it is concentrated and cold-processed to assure optimum bioactivity. It is also made with the liposome delivery system to ensure optimum absorption.  Finally it is standardized to provide at least 2,500 nanograms of IGF-1 per bottle.

In a clinical study w/ IGF-1 over a 12 week period on ten patients:

95% reduction in fatigue.

17% reduction in body fat.

Anti-inflammatory drugs speed up the loss of cartilage.

Arthritis is cause by an infection.

IGF-1 reduces the effect on chemo and increases life and thymus.

HEART: IGF-1 inhibits killer enzyme that effect heart patients.

When the stroke volume of the heart was increased, (more blood goes to the heart), the heart muscle was strengthened, and the left ventricle increased in size and strength.

There was a 25% reduction in vascular resistance, and greater oxygenation.

High blood pressure was reduced.

Diabetics w/ neuropathy: 86% elimination. It strengthens the pancreas, aiding the beta cells, causing reduction in insulin resistance.

35lbs. raw product creates 1 lb. IGF-1.
